Construction Complete in mid-September 2011

Gateway Boulevard (northbound) at 23 Avenue was open to traffic on September 11, 2011 and Calgary Trail (southbound) at 23 Avenue was open to traffic on September 12, 2011. Construction was completed for the 23 Avenue Interchange project by September 22, 2011. Hard work from crews and continued patience from the public has resulted in completion of the interchange with minimal delays. Edmonton drivers, transit users and pedestrians will all benefit from this project which came in under budget and on schedule.
